When I was little, before I can even remember, my parents gave me this little antique chair. (My father is an antiques dealer so this type of gift was not uncommon in our house.) They'd had it painted red with gold details by a friend. It's always been one of my prized possessions, and now I've been lucky enough to pass it on to my own kids. But when my littlest one awkwardly climbs into it, she slips off the seat. And sometimes she likes to sit on it naked and it just looks uncomfortable. So I decided it needed a little cushion. I measured the seat and looked up an image of a simple star quilt block (LeMoyne). I used scraps of my most favourite fabrics from the Liberty Lifestyle Bloomsbury collection and some black and white text fabric and - voila - a simple seat cushion with ties. Much cosier for little bums!

I used most of the Liberty Bloomsbury collection in my Anna Maria Horner pattern 'Spinning Stars' QAL quilt which is currently at Eileen Quilts for finishing. So excited to see how it looks when it's all finished.
And I just cannot wait until the next collection of Liberty Lifestyle is available. It's called 'Stile' and it looks incredible, of course!
